B&R Locksmithing, locally owned and operated in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, serves the community’s locksmithing needs. Certified in 1991, we aim to give every customer’s security concerns our full attention and achieve the best possible results. We are registered with the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office and participate in ongoing training to keep up with the ever-changing world of locks and security.

In the 1980s, Bob Ratkaj was installing security systems on contract when he noticed one consistent request on job sites. His customers wanted a good locksmith to install and service door hardware. Bob saw an opportunity and decided that he was just the man to fill the community’s need. He completed locksmithing school and later established B&R Locksmithing in 2002.

Bob’s work in the locksmithing industry started with mostly mechanical locks. As the security industry grew and changed, B&R Locksmithing grew and changed, too. In the years since the company was established, B&R Locksmithing has worked with electronic locks, door alarms, and residential and commercial unlock services, as well as standard mechanical locks. By paying attention to the changing security industry and ongoing training opportunities, Bob Ratkaj ensures that B&R Locksmithing can meet the security challenges of today’s world and continue to fulfill the needs of the community in the future.
